Anouther robot *sigh*, My hands were really shakey last night, and inking the damn picture by hand was a pain in the ass (yes, I inked the original, I am shamed). On anouther note, this is the first imaged Ive digitally colored ina LONG time.
The robot for the most part is just somethin I cooked up in about 30 mins, but the coloring took much longer (since I suck at coloring XD), Honestly I hate hand inking things, my hands have what are known as "action tremors" which only start shakeing when my hands need to do strenuious work (prey to god that I am never in a bomb disposal squad or doing heart and/or brain surgery :Roflmao:. )
Ill be trying to make comic this week while Im still on break. That and trying to learn some finer points of coloring in photoshop, since that stuff is really still alien to me.
that', like, crazy! ^^ maybe if you added some highlights ane darker shadows it's produce more of a 3D thing, i dunno, but i REALLY think it's amazing! ^^ it's really detailed, it looks professional.... !!!
yeah its still a Work in progress as far as shading and highs go (I still need a lot of work on those) but I like drawing machines, especially the least human type. I dont know why really, theyre just kinda appealing to me^^.

thanks, but where I excell in machinery, I suck with females (which Im practicing to draw, but still in "noob" status) I dunno, it seems like everyone likes a "hawt girl" picture.
Thanks for the comments though!

let me guess, you grew up with an obsession to gundam wing? haha. hmm, maybe that was just me. well, either way, i like the detail you put in it. tremors or not, its most definately a solid foundation. all you got to do is fire up photoshop, instill a little TLC, and this sketch would really POP! question for you though, with the colors, how do you go about picking your colors? i always end up with a yellow type tinge, n' end up going back to tweak the palette. even though this spesific drawing doesnt really have "shading" right now, these base colors are ... perfect. kinda like .... transformers meets star wars! lol
Well, to cut it off my rant here, nice work, keep it up *insert another general compliment here* N' check out my gallery if you find time. (its small, but growing with time)
I like picking out "power colors" usually (these being colors that I see in my limited color scale, Im partially colorblind). Its kinda hard for me, since I usually pick lights and darks wrong due to my eye sight. I probably should ask people to color my crap for me XD.
I dont do a lot of photoshoping right now (well character and sketch coloring at least, though Im painting a lot of textures for 3D models now). Ill give the guy anouther try later when I go on break.
Also, as far as mecha goes? I was raised on battle tech, heavy gear, and heavy metal really, gundam came much later, but it hads its influences (favorite mobile suit of all series, the zaku2 w/ heat axe * bazooka, that gas mask head piece is a great design type.)

Also, yeah I checked out your gallery, good stuff thus far! Im lucky I found my original scanned line art of smashing palms (the original work, like ive noted above, is lost ) , so I can start fresh with some new colors and lights maybe, or hand the file off to someone I can get to color it XD

haha, thats awesome! i was more into evangelion than most other mech type stuff, bu with gundam, i was totally obsessed with the EVX-331. something about those folded back wing type things, just ..... i dunno, a simply beautful design. with those textures, you do 3d modeling? ive been fooling around with Maya for upwards of 6 years now. (started back on maya 4 ) thats awesome that you make your own textures. i usually just got lazy and went to adobe or something.
As for your mech here .... seeing as how i just got a new tablet, i'm totally itching to fool around with it! if you dont mind, i'll give it a go, n' post when i'm done. (i'm working on that angel piece for theory too, but i'm still fooling around with the color palette, kuz he didnt have one, so that'll take longer anyway) obviously, i alwas do the whole 'credit the artist' thing, its wrong not to, and it'd be a nice opportunity for you to see your stuff inked n' shaded, n' i'd love to see what this tablet is capable of.
Ill concider it, I mess in max and maya (only for the past year and a half or so, Demon form there is probably my first model I did (I havent improved much since then really). Textures I also do In Adobe photoshop as well, Its the only place I can really find as a real texture program to begin with.
once I get out of class tonight Ill definatly send you a reply

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
